“Super Sunday” greetings, a little late…

Yes, we do watch the Super Bowl in Panamá. In fact, Panamá has a national futbol norteamericano team, what we call “football.” They competed here on Saturday for a chance to go to Canton, OH for the IFAF World Championships, unfortunately losing to Brazil. It wasn’t the only unfortunate loss this weekend… Hey, Yvonne & I were both born in Seattle.

Here’s this month’s brief update:

As mentioned last month, we returned to Panamá 12 January 2015 and since then have been in the midst of house-hunting (found one!), shopping for household goods, setting up and cleaning up after storage room fire, and getting reacquainted with our Panamanian colleagues and friends. We appreciate your prayers in the process.

Our first week back we joined our AG Panamanian General Council. There were many hugs and backslaps and catching up with friends and colleagues.

This week we join Pastor Roy Rhodes and his awesome team from Abundant Life Community Church in Alton IL ministering in the Ngobe Indian Family Conference as they do annually. Last year we joined their first annual Panamá 5K Run fund-raiser for this ministry. There might be 5000+ beloved Indian brothers and sisters joining together for an old-fashioned camp meeting, but Ngobe-style! Pray for revival!

On the family front, Gracie is back in the same Christian school, hanging out with all her old friends. With Chloe, Tony, and Celina spread out from CA to MO we have been able to video conference with pretty good audio/video clarity. No complaints--it sure beats snail mail, faxed letters and expensive phone calls like when we first arrived in 1992. We are blessed!
