Dear Friends,

ˇHappy New Year!

If you'd like to read this e-Mailer with photos, read on. Or to see past issues, click on "Newsletter" at www.jonesjournal.org. This monthly e-Mailer includes updates on ministry, family, praise and prayer.

MINISTRY

Thanks for praying for the KidsQuest Crusade in early December. Last month we asked you to pray that many children would receive the "Best Gift of All!" -- salvation in Jesus Christ! Dozens responded positively out of the 500+ in attendance.

The KidsQuest mascot hero, "CJ," is shown here explaining the memory verse from Isaiah 9:6, The Message:

For a child has been born--for us! the gift of a son--for us!

He'll take over the running of the world.

His names will be:

Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness.

The skit "Emmanuel" gave Christmas an international flavor with these children sharing Jesus in different cultures and places.

Special thanks go to our secretary, Carolina Canto, and her home church Centro Misionero Cristiano, for doing a tremendous job as local coordinator for this crusade.

Today was the first monthly seminar of the year. I heard some terrific reports of leader’s plans to use the Vacation Bible School curriculum to reach children not yet attending their church. In a couple instances, they are planning on recycling the material to be used in more than one location! Please be praying for many children to be won, discipled and trained to be Jesus-followers.

We also used today’s seminar to present our Children’s Ministries Vision and Mission Statement along with goals for 2005. You can read it in English or Spanish in Acrobat Reader pdf format when you view this e-Mailer from our website.

We leave tomorrow for Panamá’s Assembly of God Annual Business Session. As we mentioned last e-mailer, since it's summer vacation the next couple months, many children will come with their parents. Our team will minister with them with morning classes (our kids doing the puppets), crafts and a puppet-making workshop, afternoon games and evening movies. Please pray for life-changing encounters with Jesus for these precious PKs and MKs.

FAMILY

Here we are enjoying Christmas together with Yvonne’s Mom, Grandma Bonnie. We were really glad to have her here. The kids were counting down the days.

We wish we could have been together with all our family and friends, playing in snow, sipping hot chocolate, singing Christmas carols, watching football...

Yvonne volunteered to direct the choir for the Christmas program at the three young’uns school. At her school Chloe played the part of the judge in a comic rendition of the Trial of the Wolf from the Three Little Pigs fairy tale.

I just have to tell you one of Gracie’s latest: One night while tucking her in bed, she told me she was playing Tic-Tac-Toe with Jesus -- and He won!

This is a large work I've called you into, but don't be overwhelmed by it.

It's best to start small.

(Matthew 10:41b The Message)

ˇTHANKS!

If I could make that font size 144, it still wouldn’t be big enough to express how much appreciation we feel for your support in prayer and plata. "Plata" is Spanish for silver, but often used to refer to good old-fashioned moolah! Thanks and God bless!

Yours for Them,

Kirk for all
